Leisurely lunch

We decided to invite a few people round for lunch today -- we've been waiting for good weather, as the house is too small for entertaining indoors. Yesterday was cloudy and rather cool, but today was perfect -- warm and sunny with barely a hint of breeze.

We decided to do a "grazing" menu that wouldn't require too much effort ::cough:: Espinacas con garbanzos (yes, again!) and escalivade, followed by S's star-worthy ensalada asiatica. Dessert was a tart, because I love making tarts, and one I haven't made for a while -- prune and armagnac PX sherry tart (while in Mercadona I decided PX was preferable to cheap Spanish brandy). We did most of the shopping and preparation yesterday, so there wasn't too much to do this morning.

It was very pleasant sitting in the dappled shade and chatting. Our guests (who included lapsed blipper guiri and her partner F)  left at about five; washing up done, we don't feel like doing much else now.
