Same Species Different Colours
Everyone was wanting a more relaxed day today so Eldest and I wandered into town (up a very steep hill in 34 degree heat) to look at the shops and have a coffee.
After lunch from the local supermarket we chilled by the pool and this time were visited by a family of capuchin monkeys wandering up from the jungle below.
This evening (on recommendation) we booked another night tour at a local reserve and reptile refuge. What a difference, we had a private guide for just the 4 of us and he really spent time looking for what we wanted to see including butterflies, snakes, lizards and of course the nocturnal tree frogs. I loved how the red eyed tree frog on the Pacific coast (here) is the same species but with different colours than the one on the Caribbean coast.
