Mending

A tricky morning for S who had to be peeled off me like a plaster at schools today. She was up in the night with a sore ear and was feeling tired. I found it quite upsetting and welled up but some of the other mums were really lovely to me. I rode home and phoned school and she was absolutely fine. I had to wait in for the BT engineer who typically arrived 1 minute before the end of the time slot and didn’t actually fix the problem. I got lots of laundry done and enjoyed my lunch in the garden. I rode to Sainsburys and got a couple of house plants to start building my collection back up. I also did some visible mending on the hole in my Findra cycle top. A lovely sunny ride to school, there is a very fancy new cycle path under construction on the school route and I’m looking forward to it being finished. Currently the journey involves a couple of road crossings and it’s always busy and feels a bit dangerous. S and I played in the sunny garden after school, I made a curry for dinner and FaceTimed my mum.
