Hear Here
We were across to Newcastle for L’s audiology appointment, and some new, much smaller, hearing aids. Not the best shot, composed, as it is, around the underside of a clinic table, but there’s a sort of stereo symmetry to the image that felt vaguely appropriate to the proceedings.
Technology is moving fast. There is now the option to surgically implant magnets under the skin, into the bone behind each ear. The magnetised aids’ stick’ onto the head, rather than being held in place through a hair band.
Elective surgery is so hard; L says is happy to wear her band, and wants to keep it. To be honest, I don’t blame her.
