Patterns

Our son and his family were due to arrive this morning for the holiday weekend. Last night a freeway (I5) bridge over the Skagit River collapsed between Seattle and Vancouver! Fortunately no one was hurt but the highway is unusable for now. They decided to come on the late afternoon ferry instead since it would take extra time for them to drive the detour over another bridge, (labelled "structurally unsound". The one that collapsed was "structurally obsolete"! )

Musings and hubby on their boat were staying at the dock , so we got another day to play with art in the studio! Yesterday we made collages from the paper we printed, today we made little books with 4" squares of our papers - here's one side...... FUN! That girl gets "in the zone" and creates! Love it.

And the family made it here - just took a bit longer.....Musings' boat has moved on and now there will be 2 small girls here for 3 days and a possible blip! :-) The stuffed mooses are asleep in their beds all over the floor. whew! Gotta rest up now!
