(110) Up In Smoke

My plan to take some aerial footage of the last remnants of the former Tullis Russell paper mill were thwarted by the unexpected and unannounced demolition of the two chimneys that used to dominate the skyline here. The paper mill closed down in 2015 after two centuries of production and since then work has been underway to redevelop the site for housing. The main image shows the CHP biomass plant which uses recycled timber to generate power and the extra is a view from 2021 showing the chimneys still standing.
