Guyana Sweet Bowl

Mittai made the night before a big occassion in a rural village in Guyana waiting to be packed in boxes to be given to guests.

Sweet 'meats' are integral to any hindu event but are truly vegetarian and a wonderful alternative to modern chocolate but are still mostly milk based.

Enjoy - you will just have to imagine the other 5 varieties that were prepared that night but they were all delicious!!? :-)
