be careful what you wish for

We're in the car, returning home having been out all morning.  We're hungry, having missed our usual mid-morning coffee break.

"I'm hungry" says Anniemay "and I could do with a drink".

At that moment the car navigation screen brings up a list of pubs in the area.  Co-incidence?

I know our TV can hear us - there's a microphone underneath the chassis and its default position is 'on'. Although not anymore, once that was pointed out to me.

But the car? Hmm.....
