Clovelly

Backblip 17th April
Our friend Fiona recommended Clovelly for a visit. A private village with steep cobbled streets which drop 400 feet to the Harbour. You pay an admission which goes towards the upkeep of the village (all the buildings are owned by one family). 
We took our time and watched our feet as the cobbles are very uneven and the hill is very steep. It was lovely to pause now and then to take in the views and to look at the charming houses. The locals use sledges to transport their goods and I've added a photo of someone doing so in extras. The main blip was a 15 minute walk along a stony beach. It would have been 5 minutes but again we had to watch our steps very carefully so we didn't go over an ankle on the stones. I was very taken with this view and we spent a while taking different shots of it before having a delicious lunch in one of the cafes. In extras a boat against the dull sky at the start of the day which gave a nice painterly look to the shot. The weather improved as you can see by the shot of Rob on the beach. A thoroughly enjoyable day out and we really felt we'd had a work out by the end of it which was an added benefit.
