Downpour in York

Started the day in Huddersfield, followed by meetings in York and finished in Wakefield. The morning's meeting was at the National Centre for Early Music which should have been my blip oft the day.

Used the park and ride and stopped off at Tesco next to the car park for lunch in the cafe.

I took this photo whilst walking back through York during a torrential downpour. It shows the clock outside the church of St Martin, Coney Street.

The clock face is surmounted by the figure known as the "Little Admiral", however the clock mechanism is mounted in the tower and the hands are turned by a drive-shaft that runs the length of the building.

BTW the clock was 30 mins slow meaning I was late for my meeting.

Just hope the weather improves for the bank holiday weekend ahead.
