Merrick and The Magic Man

We (Merrick, me, grandma Lisa and sister Lisa} drove an hour (one way) to East Lansing today to visit Raising Cane's. It is a fast growing chicken fingers restaurant that Merrick has been wanting to go to.

It was interesting. Finding a parking place was not good, and since it is directly across from Michigan State University, the place was full of students, easily making Lisa and I the oldest people in the joint. Merrick liked it.

After eating, we found the statue of Earvin "Magic" Johnson, a local kid who led the MSU Spartans to the national basketball championship in 1979, and then went on to a very successful NBA career with the Los Angeles Lakers.

Another picture is in the extras. It is titled Buddy Boy #2 at the Breslin. The Breslin Center is where the MSU Spartans play their home basketball games.
