Chapel Park

Chapel Park is a  small park in the centre of Newport going from Talbot Lane to Stow Hill, I don’t know how old it is but I think it’s been there a very long time. Alongside a path through the southern edge of the park on sloping ground between Stow Hill and Talbot Lane. The gravestones and the park's name indicate that part or all of the park used to be a chapel and a cemetery.
The grave stones in the park I believe what I’ve been told are nearly all children which is very sad, apparently they died of a cholera outbreak.
