Union Canal

This afternoon I decided to take a wander along part of the Union Canal. I found a dirt track leading down to this part of the canal which was signposted Lin's Mill Aqueduct, however since looking it up on the internet it is also known as Almond Aqueduct.

I saw a lovely family of ducklings with their mother up ahead of me but could not get in front of them to get a good angle without scaring them. They only swam faster and faster including one duckling hitching a lift on its mums back!

After a short walk along part of the canal I then scrambled down to the river to get some shots. I liked this one best showing the water cascading down from the aqueduct.
