Southwell II's vs Newark II's  : 12 - 40

NLD (Notts, Lincs, Derbys) cup game

Our son B played in the last game of the season (for the second team). The team played well in an entertaining well supported match, but Newark were too strong on the day. He's bottom row 4th from left.

B had a fairly good opportunity to score just before the end, but his decision to pass  near the try line was intercepted and a straight sprint to the other end for a try. Felt so gutted for him. Could have made the final score a 19 - 33.

He has great team mates, so a few beers around Southwell with them will have helped heal the sadness and further strengthen the bonding that is a big part of rugby culture.
