Little grebe

Thursday we visited The Himalayan Garden near Masham. We had been before pre-covid and thoroughly enjoyed it so decided on a return visit. Enjoyed it just as much this time. April is a little early in the season as the plants are just starting - I would like to go sometime in June or July.
this Little Grebe was sitting on her eggs whilst her mate dabbled around in the lake nearby. She was beautifully camouflaged amongst the reeds.
