... often seems to depend on finding subjects among the people who've got an acceptable 'reason' to avoid going into the shops. 

I was searching for 'victims' around mid-day today, spotting (and then photographing) people making 'urgent' phone calls, reading something important, or minding their dog.

It seems to be getting harder to find subjects because of the quite low footfall, despite the pleasant weather - there are still people around but not as many 'victims' to choose from.
