Quite a stramash!
I was up again to see the sunrise, not intentionally, and it wasn’t as glorious as the other day but still nice to see. We were ready to head out just before 8am and decided to go to RSPB Loch Leven, an hour and a bit away. The last time we were there we saw very little but it was much better today.
There is a big colony of black headed gulls, making a lot of noise, a few elegant Greylag Geese (extra 1), a pair of Gadwall (extra 2) and many more. I was really pleased to see the Gadwall, a new species to me, there were also around ten Shovellers which were lovely to view through the binoculars but too far out for a decent photo. Also, a few Lapwing, a Heron, two Meadow Pipits, Tufted Ducks, coots, mallards and an abundance of wild flowers, well worth the trip!
