Groningen Photo Weekend - Day 2 - Bierum Beach

The photo weekend continued with an early rise to capture the sunrise at Bierum Beach. This is quite a difficult location. It looks great, but it is difficult to create photos here that convey a good sense of depth. I made this photo to show the participants how you can use a low viewpoint in combination with a wide angle lens to create depth by using small puddles on the sand.

After breakfast, we went into high gear to avoid the rain that was forecasted. We managed to visit all the locations I had in mind and return to the hotel just before the rain started. We had dinner and after that we looked at the images that were made, where I answered the questions the participant had and added a few tips and tricks to further improve their photos.

Even though the rain had stopped, conditions were far from perfect and we called it a day after that.
