Volunteer

A second tournament for Elinor’s team in as many weekends. I missed the morning because I went golfing with Kent (more about that I’m sure in subsequent blips I feel) but got there for the afternoon game.
A mishap with the scheduling meant that no referee was assigned to the game. Up stepped Sergio to ref his fourth game of the day just when he was preparing to go home. He provided excellent, measured calmness to the game which Elinor’s team won.
Some parents are a bit too involved and can get over excited, but in general the atmosphere seems good natured and collegial. More of the same tomorrow.
