G is for Goofy

Finished G and H this morning. This afternoon we went to the Bellingham Symphony concert. We started with the pre-concert talk by Ryan Dudenbostel from Western. He is so good at adding fascinating information to the concert. Today he talked about Robert and Clara Schumann and Johannes Brahms. It was music history in half an hour, interesting and informative. Then we heard Elisa Barstow join the orchestra for Brahms’s Violin Concerto in D Major. After intermission the orchestra played Schumann’s Symphony #3, the Rhenish. As always the orchestra came through masterfully and Ms. Barstow played beautifully. A perfect way to spend Sunday afternoon.
