Ullswater

Pretty horrible journey up the M6 during the afternoon, heading for Carlisle and an overnight stop. We took a detour to Pooley Bridge to find a meal and then followed a footpath sign that said "To the Lake". This was what we found, and felt immediately restored, with strong sun from the right and dramatic sky to the right!
