Blossom time
Our village looks lovely on the main entry roads when the blossom is out. The blossom is further out on the road to Wilsden than the road to Bingley. The same happens with the daffodils that flower here, one must get more sun than the other.
The blossom in the thumbnail is almond (I think) these are interspersed with the more dense pink blossoms of the cherry on Wilsden Road. Most of the trees on Bingley Road are cherries.
The inset white blossom is quite tiny and I saw it on a tree by the church in Bingley, not sure what it is, and the deep pink is a flowering crab apple in our front garden. The crab apple blossom is only just coming and is quite hard to see against the dark foliage. This is the tree’s third year and whilst it’s had blossom we’ve yet to see any fruit.
It may be blossom time but it’s not exactly blossom weather.
Bright spells at Community singing this morning but grey skies and spots of rain as we left to go shopping. And it’s cold!
