Poppy

The first one has appeared in the garden - growing out of the concrete on the patio!! Obviously!!

 A lovely day of weather despite the dodgy forecast and it's been a productive start to the week.  So a trip to Hadleigh with bags of books and odds and sods for the charity shop and drama while we were there, as 2 squad cars and an unmarked police car pulled over a van at the lights - causing traffic chaos!  

we got some compost at Morrisons before having a cup of tea in their cafe and watching the traffic queues building up!  And this afternoon I've been out pottering in the garden as had some dahlias and oriental poppies to pot up, as well as digging some primroses out of the lawn to put in pots!

Not much fluttering of butterflies about in the garden right now which is a bit worrying - I wonder if the cold, wet winter has taken its' toll
