One of the unexpected side benefits of running a market is the selection of small gifts from the traders. Sometimes it’s an unasked for “staff” discount. Each month the girls who run the plant stall bring me a bunch of something, this month the crepe guy insisted that I try his spinach and ham galette, Bill tempted me to some produce from his bargain meat box (slightly scary that one), a box of macarons, a dish of sticky mango rice and although the bakers sold out of bread they want to deliver an loaf of sourdough on Thursday! Nice but unexpected perks.
