Wild Garlic Galore

An appointment at Cupar this morning went fine, then a quick visit to Tesco was followed by a walk at Tarvit Mill Ponds.
Saw the usual ducks, and a couple of rats! yuck! Spotted a couple of grey wagtails at the side of the pond. It’s years since I’ve seen any. I’d forgotten how colourful they are. The amount of wild garlic was mind-boggling. Everywhere I turned there was garlic. In the blip the bottom edge of the field where it slopes down to the burn is totally covered. It looks like a hedge of garlic.
Home again in time to pick Maggie up from nursery. We played three games of snap and I lost them all. She’s getting so good with numbers now. Then it was dominoes and I had little chance of a win there either.
Ernie the spaniel pup arrived at 6.30 while his mum went to choir practice. Geordie and I kept our feet on the sofa and let Maggie and Ernie tire each other out. It seemed the sensible thing to do and before too long the youngsters were exhausted and ready for bed. Thank goodness!
