Minsmere

Minsmere is around 60 miles from here so we couldn’t resist fitting in a visit.
The Scrape was full of birds, including Sandwich terns and Avocets and plenty of water. The Island Mere hide was lovely, we saw a bittern, there were marsh harriers all around and we heard a Bearded Tit pinging!
It was a great visit and took us back a bit, as we both volunteered there back in the ‘80s!!
