Nice and flat

After attending my grandson's fifth birthday party, I spent some time on the sea front at Morecambe. This blip shows a very public dance class, with some brave lads doing their best with shouts of "encouragement" from others nearby.

Some years ago, in public consultation on the Town's future, an elderly lady from Yorkshire said:

"The best thing about Morecambe is it is nice and flat. The worst thing is it is going down hill."

It was lovely today. The seafront has great views across the Bay to the Lakeland fells, the well-refurbished Midland Hotel, a former ferry terminal at the Stone Jetty, some great public art, featuring birds - The Tern Project, some very colourful boats and a statue of a genius of comic timing and famous citizen, Eric. He would have admired the young people at the dance class.
