Chiesa di Santo Domenico

Strolling the historic center of Palermo on a Saturday afternoon the bustling pedestrian streets are tranquil without the car traffic. We visited several churches… each in the midst of a wedding. Besides the location for holy matrimony,
the Chiesa San Giovanni is the final resting place for Giovanni Falcone, the prosecutor and hero who dared to take on the mafia; and the site where the needy ask for monetary assistance on the steps.
