Rotterdam.  Our home for the next few days.  We met up with J at his studio and had a tour around the city.  This was our first visit so it was a walk around the classic icons including the cube houses.  If ever there was an incarnation of 'just because you can doesn't mean you should'...

My past knowledge of Rotterdam was mainly the regular entries of shipping between here and Ipswich which was a bit of a perennial Geography homework topic.  Thus, some extras of the docks were required.  It was a pretty dull, though thankfully dry, day so I'm afraid some of the camera's built-in arts'y filters came into play.

Extras: Upstairs view from the Cubes; canal dock, with obligatory distant windmill; main dock; ditto, with Erasmus bridge, and the Pencil Building.
