3040. Spring?

Spotted these on my walk this morning in what can only be described as a Baltic breeze…it was so cold!  What has happened to our spring? We sat with our patio doors open for three days last week…this week…woke up to a temperature of 1 degree!  Still it’s nice to see these flowers blooming even if it feels like January again.

Had a wonderful FaceTime with my sister this morning, talking about special birthday celebrations and not getting old :). I can’t wait to see her next year but it’s a long way off yet.

Had a walk into town and got a few things, bought hubby a beautiful sleeveless sweater and a couple of bits and pieces for myself too. Came home for lunch, (leftover Filo Fish Pie from yesterday) which was delicious.

Had to phone the Royal Mail to complain about our post again this afternoon.  Our postie seems to be incapable of using our actual post box and has been dumping mail on a wee plant table outside our front door.  She did this yesterday and again today but it had fallen underneath the table and couldn’t be seen without lifting the table out.  We have a post box at the entrance to our building and every other postie just puts mail there so I have no idea why she chooses to leave it at our front door.  We also had to ask why two parcels are showing as still being in Edinburgh on the tracking app when they were both delivered yesterday and one of them took 10 days instead of the 48 hour delivery we paid for.  The woman I spoke to was very helpful and she checked her system and told me that neither parcel had been scanned since leaving Edinburgh.  She was going to report our issues to our local delivery office so I hope something actually changes.

Hubby is looking at our car insurance and it’s gone up by 50% in a year…I think we will be shopping around because that is extortionate!
