Surprise!
I had just been telling my friend about a deserted badger set in one of the orchid fields in our village when an adult fox ran across the field higher up. I never expected her/him to have cubs nearby! Accidentally we were hidden behind some bushes but one of the cubs was looking intently in our direction. I had my macro lens on but knew that I had one chance at this, no time to change lens. The fox cubs ran off towards the forest. Later I went back and discovered 2 more entrances to the den in the forest. Apparently only 70-80% of foxes survive to maturity so I wish them lots of luck!
Thanks for the enthusiasm for our mandala vegetable plot too!
