JJ has gone down to the records office at Kew with his family history group, so it's quiet around the place. Not that he makes a lot of noise, well not unless he's sitting in his office snoring.
It was sunny first thing so I tried to get some more photographs of emerging leaves and flowers. It's ok until a breeze decides to nip through and then it just becomes frustrating.
There are hardly any insects about, just the odd fly, a few miniature ants and the odd bee. However I did spot this delightfully shiny hoverfly resting on a leaf. I managed to nettle my fingers trying to get down low and find it's as difficult getting down as it is getting up these days, but it was worth it.
I have a camera club committee meeting tonight and may be out before JJ gets home, so I need to make a cottage pie, which I can leave on a low heat in the oven.
