Tulipmania
Never did I think that the tulips from Amsterdam last year, would still be flowering after two weeks away on holiday. How wrong I was.
Tulipmania was a period during the Dutch Golden Age when contract prices for some bulbs of the recently introduced and fashionable tulip reached extraordinarily high levels. The major acceleration started in 1634 and then dramatically collapsed in February 1637.
Despite having an afternoon snooze yesterday and going to bed early, I still feel a bit whacked out.
I hope you have a good day.
