Life with The Pinks

Linger....

"The best and most beautiful things in the world cannot be seen or even touched. They must be felt with the heart"
? Helen Keller

I thought this photo captured a lingering look of being "papped" by Mr Pink, and a linger of the feeling of love that Miss Pink has for her Daddy.

It was taken outside Buckingham Palace today. We decided yesterday that we would head to London today. Miss Pink asked earlier in the week if we could go on the train to visit the Queen. I'm not sure that her majesty was at home or if she was she had the curtains closed. But we managed to catch the changing of the guard. Master Pink wasn't particularly impressed, but Miss Pink would like to spend tomorrow dressed as one of horseguards and guard the house. Or a bee!.

After Buckingham Palace we mingled with the football supporters heading to Wembley, and had our picnic in green park. Miss Pink found a stick which became a broomstick. Master Pink joined in and the two of them "flew" around the park for a while.

On the way back to the tube, Miss Pink tried to catch a pigeon to keep as a pet.

We headed over to South Kensington and paid a visit to the Science Museum. We headed pretty much straight to the launch pod, as Master Pink was very fidgety by this stage. He had a brilliant time in there. Miss Pink enjoyed the thermal imaging but it really was the boy Pinks domain and they had a fabulous time.

In Peppa Pig, George Pig visits the museum to see a dinosaur and the dinosaur roars. Miss Pink wanted to see a dinosaur, so after a refreshment in the science museum café, we visited next door at the natural history museum. We whistled past all the other exhibits (which I've promised we will return to next time) and headed for the dinosaur. Miss Pink was a bit sad that the dinosaur didn't roar like George Pig's, but at least we tried!

Our final stop was Kensington gardens and the memorial playground. We had visited the playground last year during the Olympics, and the mini pinks were desperate to go back. It was a good last stop on our trip, lots of fun in the teepees and on the pirate ship. And mine and Miss Pink's favourite - the musical garden.
