Drogheda
We dropped by Drogheda on our way down to Dun Laoghaire. My mother was born here back in 1908.It has Mill Mount Barracks on her birth certificate. The barracks is no longer here, there is a museum, bellow the Martello tower, from where I took this photo, looking down the river Boyne to the sea in the distance.
We had mixed weather on the way down including a cloud burst which slowed everyone down. But good roads. The rain had stopped by the time we got to Dun Laoghaire, and we checked into our hotel for the last leg of out journey.
