pompon sur la canebière

Lazy morning followed by a walk in town after lunch. Pierre took me to the Canebière, a street in Marseille that leads down to the Vieux Port. In years gone by, the Marseillais would've got dressed up and walked arm-in-arm along the Canebière. Not quite like that nowadays...

Saw an amazing sweet delicacies shop full to the brim with lollies, biscuits, caramels and nougat. Meandered through a scary fruit and veg market. Drank a frappuccino in a French Starbucks(!). Walked past a peaceful demonstration about pollution. Pierre bought me beautiful flowers from his aunt's shop in Allauch :)
