Big Blossom
Our granddaughters were not in school today due to teacher strike action…so we met up with them and our daughter for breakfast at a farm shop cafe near Pontefract..(Farmer Copley’s) and then we went on to Nostell Priory (a National Trust property). We went for a walk around the gardens - well the youngsters did a lot of running about and they enjoyed the play area.
Lots and lots of spring flowers about (bluebells, tulips and primroses) and a lot of blossom, including this gorgeous frilly pink variety.
It was pretty chilly in the wind, with just the odd glimpse of sunlight. We took a picnic lunch which we had while sitting in shelter of the courtyard…the girls enjoyed that.
