Peebles to Eddleston

Mark and I walked to Eddleston along the recently built walk and cycle way to Eddleston.  A lot of work has recently been put into re-shaping the waterway, allowing the river to flood, and tree planting along the route with the aim of preventing flooding in the town.  The area is already beginning to look much more hospitable for wildlife and we could see the marsh marigolds and irises growing along the route.  My picture is of Mark admiring himself in a mirror where the path follows the road for a stretch.

We are at a practice for a come-and-sing for the coronation anthem tonight
