Promise

Just delighted to see the apple blossom fattening up already.  It has been so cold of late (two nights with a hefty frost this week) that it is hard to imagine it will be May any minute!  
Drizzly and dark this afternoon and no plumbing being done.. the carpenter came to assess what he needs to do (he was meant to come and do the work today but instead will be here tomorrow)  Basically he can't or won't do what we want which is to keep our cupboard but lower it.. he says it is impossible.. ah well, we will just not have to shrink as we age because the last owners of this house were both over 6ft they jacked up the loo and the basin by at least two inches.. and we thought it would be nice to lower it a bit for us .. hey ho! So hopefully tomorrow will go well and then tuesday will be the carpenters back up day before the stone is templated using his supports on Wednesday.  Today I heard the tiler was only going to be able to do half the job before going on holiday till the 15 when he can come back and finish the job.. that has added a week onto the already stretched timetable of two and a half weeks for a fairly small but life enhancing bathroom refit. 
More items freecycled and this evening came as a lovely surprise as the person who came to collect some bits asked me if I liked honey.. well of course the answer was yes!! She presented me with some of the honey from her bees!!  How lovely was that?  She also thanked me for passing on an item that might otherwise have ended up in landfill and being plastic I really didn't want that to happen. Reuse and recycle is definitely my mantra.
