Whinchat
Back Blipped on Thursday 27th April 2023
So with mother feeling comfortable with her new improved eyesight we headed off from north Wales on our way home... kind of.
First we hit RSPB Conwy and I spent a looooong time trying to get a decent fix on several hundred sand martins that were skimming the reedbeds. I ended up with a few hundred out of focus shots and a couple of in focus tail tips! ah well...
Then we nipped over to Anglesey again for a visit to NT Plas Newydd and walked through the tulip beds (not literally) and the woodland (yes, literally), and the shoreline of the Menai Strait - which is where I spotted this whinchat.
From there to Chester, to spend the night chatting (whinchatting?) with Phyl, before heading home... but not via the motorway... more in tomorrow's instalment!
