Tall at last

After a delayed start to our journey (I had to get a repair to the brakes on my car), we set off to the West Country. Not an enjoyable start: the rain was hammering down on the M4 making driving quite difficult, but as we progressed westward, the rain eased, the skies cleared and, by the time we arrived in Cornwall, the sun was out and the weather was fine (although there was still a strong, chilling wind).

Before going to our accommodation for the week, we dropped by the beach while it was still light to enjoy the sound and smell of the sea. The low sun cast long shadows of us on the sand, making us look considerably taller than we really are.

We have been told that the weather should be quite good for the next couple of days before returning to the (sadly) more familiar conditions of the last few weeks.
