Woody Wednesday (26th April 2023)

The three new young acers that have been overwintering in the porch got badly shocked by something early in the new year, and were taken into Special Measures during Refna's last visit. Whatever I tried in the interim has not improved their health and on this Wednesday she gave them a thorough overhaul and feed. She did similar work on the camellia, which has also been very unhappy and dropping its leaves, with some ericaceous compost .

This more mature acer is not one of them and overwintered outdoors, but now that its leaves have re-appeared they are uncharacteristically downward-facing.
