This afternoon the temperature finally began to lift. Maybe spring is nearly here? My still life Blip shows a defrosting fruit compote and a rain battered tulip’s last stand.

A busy round of online work conversations continued until it was time to pick up the boys for their May Bank Holiday weekend. We have an expedition with them planned for tomorrow.

Our mature rambling clematis on our garden’s eastern boundary is looking worryingly lifeless.
