South Bank - London

These plane trees(?) have been severely pruned, but it gives them a very dramatic appearence, which is just right since they sit directly in front of The National Theatre!
Later we found ourselves at the Tate Modern where there is a magnificent exhibit in the Great Turbine Hall. See Jan's blip for more detail.
Later in the evening there was a dinner for my nephew Luke and his girlfriend Sara, who are off to Australia in two days. It was lovely to meet Sara, and to have this last chance to see Luke before he disappears for many months.
