School run first thing, happy Caleb going to school today.

Oscar at the vets - he has heart failure and has been “coughing” more so needed to check his medication is ok. Vet gave him a thorough check over. We’ve known he has a heart murmur and is on tablets for his heart, but she was not happy with the beat, it was a bit irregular. Left Oscar at the vets - ECG, heart scan and x-ray.

Popped into a neighbouring town to have a mouch around then back home for lunch (Lili a but lost when Oscar is not there). After lunch took Lili fir a walk (slow one) and the vet called to say Oscar could be collected.

I don’t understand ECGs but he is often missing a P wave and his bottom ventricles are looking a bit clogged and not working effectively. (In a younger dog he would be given a pace maker, but at 14.5 years young he is mature for his breed). He is also showing some behaviour signs that the vet thinks he may have doggy dementia.

No change in current tablets and to monitor him for any decline/changes. Poor Oscar, he’s as happy as he can be and well loved

Noticed this flower in my garden - think it is a garden star of Bethlehem, very pretty.
