I'm not a Royalist but
Some of these retro window displays are fun! Do we always hark backwards? Surely the new coronation cups should be made of bamboo? Ha ha
Lesson today with S, my refugee friend. We started watching Would I lie to you? at one stage. S. Liked John Cooper Clark. He understood the Manc accent too. What fun we had, but his flat is unbelievably cold.
Then I went to the Trinity Rooms for lunch. AP was there. I was not rude to her today. I had beetroot and kale risotto. Later, I went home and hung out the washing because it was Summer outside, but cold inside. S. came home from the market. He had had a poor day of sales. Friend K came round and whisked me off to town in her car. We went to a cafe and talked about hypnosis and Buddhism and other stuff. She's very chilled right now. Then I went to the hairdresser's to get my locks chopped. Walked home in a balmy evening.
Washing on line not quite dry. Friend H WhatsApped me about train strikes. Oh no, I am supposed to be taking the train to Birmingham airport on 12th May! And H is driving from Rutland to Brum, so she can't help me. Looks like it's coaches from Cheltenham at dawn. Best laid plans and all that....
