Afternoon walk at Long Branch Farm and trails

A cool and rather overcast day, but in the afternoon we went hiking at Long Branch Farm and trails in Goshen. We first visited the heron rookery, where there was a lot of coming and going, but no sign of the young yet. From time to time there would be a glimpse of blue sky and sunshine, but it didn’t last long. Other photos from my collage show young oak leaves and catkins, and the beautiful bright purple Dwarf larkspur, the first we’ve seen this Spring.
