Elusive

Finally managed to get a decent shot of a kildeer, they are well camouflaged against the dirt and move quickly, making it tough. Given the amount of attention they draw with their call, you'd think they would be easier to see. They are quite interesting to watch, making a bobbing movement.

They nest on the ground and draw attention by faking a damaged wing to get predators to follow them away from the nest.
