Capturing the Essence

I actually find that details of a flower are even more beautiful than the whole flower.  These cascading petals seem to capture the very essence of the rose ... rather like looking into someone's eyes and capturing their soul.

I took this photo yesterday, but didn't post it for Flower Friday, so maybe it's going to be the only posting over the weekend as we're in for three days of rain!  Unless, of course, I feel inspired to get creative with candlelight. Who knows?

This is one of the orange roses from last Saturday's when I posted the unique pink rose. They are still holding up!

I don't always like to conform and follow strict rules that enclose me, but do love going with the flow and see where it leads me.

I found this phrase in my diary this morning which explains this perfectly:
"Listen to the song in your heart" and I would add: ...'and follow the words in the music'!
