R 766 - The Picnic Train

Needless to say, there were lots of men carrying cameras and standing on bridges over railway lines today.  In conversation with one of them, it would seem most are retired engine drivers.  Some looked like they had just come off a shift wearing hi vis gear.

There was some serious discussion about best vantage points to see the great train race tomorrow but I suspect the weather is not going to hold.   You never know with the weather do you.  Still, I might head up to Maitland tomorrow if it is not bucketing down.
